Illuminated Manuscripts 2020
Beginning with the Pandemic lockdown I developed a series of Illuminated Manuscripts. These were small paintings on cheap canvases, done quickly by hand and pursuing a type of formalist illumination. Over 130 were mailed out to recipients selected via Instagram. The paintings below are 15x15 oil on linen and are more solid objects, less fugitive.
